Jesus offers a freedom that transcends our conventional understanding—not political liberty or unrestricted choice, but freedom from sin's enslavement. Many churchgoers miss experiencing this freedom because they focus on being 'good people' rather than developing a genuine relationship with Christ. The critical question isn't whether we know Jesus, but whether Jesus knows us.True freedom in Christ manifests as real transformation. We wake up one day realizing we haven't even thought about struggles that once consumed us daily. Instead of focusing on what not to do, we fix our thoughts on Jesus, and change naturally follows. This freedom includes having the desire, ability, and opportunity to do what brings lasting happiness without regrets—something only Jesus makes possible. The gospel liberates us from performance-based religion by anchoring our security in Christ's achievement, not our own. Our improvement comes from God's approval; God's approval doesn't come from our improvement. Christ fulfilled all conditions on our behalf, making our relationship with God unconditional. When we truly understand this freedom, joy becomes our natural response as we live from God's approval rather than striving to earn it.
